Dynamic Automation Inc. has patented a worm gear technology works directly with any standard machine screw. This product has solved most complicated engineering and design problems.
This innovative
precision gearing works with a standard machine screw, or long length
threaded rods and adapts to rotary or linear motion applications.
The precision gear is available in a variety of standard sizes, or can be made
to order for custom needs. It is capable of fine adjustment and positive
positioning, and at a cost considerably less than special order mating worms.
According to design engineers at the McClellan Air Force Base, this gear solved one of their toughest mechanical engineering problems, with minimum available space.
Solved one reactor problem from 13 feet under the water. - This gear has been used to drive a sample carrier, 100 feet deep under the water with very slow speed at 10 inches per minute without the screw driven worm gear, it would have been dangerous because of the high radiation environment.
These percision gear were also used on the F-16 and F-22 fighter jets to accurately position their laser guidence systems.
